Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Miles Johnson and his wife Brenda were the owners of Turtleford Veterinary Clinic for over 30 years. Miles graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. He came to Turtleford shortly after graduation and has been enjoying mixed animal practice ever since. In 2013 he was named to the council of the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association.  Miles is well known in the community for always being calm and straight forward no matter the situation and for his skill and interest in bovine medicine as well as wildlife medicine.

Miles has experience with the following:

Farm Animals: Cattle, Chickens, Donkeys, Ducks, Geese, Goats, Hogs, Horses, Mules, Pigs, Sheep and Turkeys.

Pets: Birds, Cats, Dogs, Fish, Guinea Pigs and Rabbits.

Wildlife: Alpacas, Antelope, Badgers, Bear, Beavers, Bison, Buffalo, Coyotes, Deer, Elk, Foxes, Grouse, Guinea Fowl, Hawks, Muskrats, Owls, Peacocks, Pheasants, Porcupines, Prairie Chicken, Racoons, Skunks, Snakes, Squirrels, Wild Turkeys and Wolves

Dr. Miles Johnson

Dr. Rocío Villalobos (DVM) is a registered Veterinary Surgeon who specializes in animals, particularly farm animals such as cattle, chickens, goats, hogs, horses, mules, pigs, and sheep.

Her expertise includes pain management in small animals and nutrition. Since 2013, she has operated a private veterinary practice where she provides consultations for a variety of animals including snakes, iguanas, and turtles.


Dr. Villalobos has always had a profound interest in small, large, and exotic animals. She has practiced veterinary medicine in a private clinic for over five years, conducting daily consultations for small animals and exotic pets.


Dr. Villalobos received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zulia in 2012. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Animal Reproduction.
